Au Festin de Babette

4085, rue Saint-Denis, Montreal, QC, H2W2M7

Rated this place:

tea time: Au Festin de Babette is a cozy St-Denis gourmet shop and vintage-inspired tea room. Described as a “Marchande de Petits Bonheurs” Chocolaterie/Salon de The/Epicerie fine, Au Festin sells a variety of goodies such as chocolates, retro and vintage items, imported salts and oils (including an interesting looking salt from Cyprus), gourmet jams, cookies, over 60 varieties of tea, and homemade ice cream or gelato to be enjoyed on the terrace during the warm weather months. In addition, Au Festin offers a 10% discount for Member of Slow Food Quebec. A great place to warm up on a cold day, with a foamy cappuccino and one of the many homemade goodies.

Itsi Bitsi

2621 Rue Notre-Dame W., Montreal, Quebec, H3J1N9

Rated this place:

Tiny treats, big on taste: Charming specialty cupcake shop in Little Burgundy, Itsi Bitsi won first prize in Créativité Montréal Business (less that 1,500 sq. ft.) category. With a different delicious cupcake featured everyday (from Tuesday-Sunday), Itsi Bitsi is a perfect afternoon snack, after dinner treat, or party favor. With prices that begin at $2.85 per cupcake and flavours like “Caramel Curry Icing” and “Choco-Cardamom”, these are not the cupcakes of your childhood. A sampling of mini-cupcakes (from $1.00 each) is sure to tickle the most adventurous of palates. Itsi Bitsi also offers homemade gelato, and assorted teas, bath products, books, and gifts.
