Charcuterie AnnA

2070 Boulevard De Maisonneuve Ouest, Montreal, QC

Rated this place:

Sandwiches and more: Located at the base of a large, impersonal high-rise apartment building, AnnA is one of those awesome, cultural, hole-in-the-wall Montreal gems. Offering awesome made-to-order grilled sandwiches for $4.50, AnnA also features crepes, soups, muffins, select grocery items, and a variety of Russian delicacies.

Marché Akhavan

6170 Sherbrooke W., Montreal, Quebec, H4B1L8

Rated this place:

A taste of the Middle East: Marché Akhavan is a Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern Grocery store that specializes in fresh fruit, vegetables and dairy products alongside exotic delicacies such as seeds, nuts, beans, fresh dates, Mediterranean pastries and sweets, and a bevy of exotic spices. Garnering a solid reputation in NDG and beyond, Akhavan offers a generous selection of delectable ready-to-eat hummus varieties, couscous, taboule, marinated beef bavette (amazing), chicken, shish kabob’s, assorted feta and other cheeses, olives (stuffed with almonds or blue cheese, or marinated with oil and sea salt – delicious) among other delicacies, such as rose water (or “white coffee”) and saffron, alongside over 40 loose teas and 50 varieties of nuts, and a cheese bar.
