Suite 88

3957 rue Saint-Denis, Montreal, QC, H2W2M4

Rated this place:

chocolate alchemy: Called a “Chocolate lounge and boutique”, Suite 88 is for serious chocoholics only. Efforts may be lost on those who aren’t harbouring a physical dependency on the sweet stuff. Suite 88’s offerings include gelato, waffles, cakes, and over 40 different kinds of chocolate bars, chock (choc?) full off combinations such as litchi and ginger, green tea, the ever popular Caramel and Sea Salt, and a chocolate shooter collection which mixes chocolate with sake (of all things!), amongst absolute mandarin, raspberry daquri, and champagne - imagine the possibilities! Suite 88 also does classic creations such as chocolate-covered Oreo’s and my personal favourite –chocolate covered pretzels. The perfect marriage of sweet and salty. Suite 88 is an afternoon stopover not to be missed.

Cavallaro

4865 Rue Sherbrooke O, Westmount, QC, H3Z1G9

Rated this place:

a little gabagool with your proshut?: Providing great latte’s (maybe the best in the neighbourhood), satisfying sandwiches and an array of fresh and frozen pasta, Cavallaro is a wonderful addition to the Westmount/Victoria Village neighbourhood. With a large deli counter, imported oils, vinegars and miscellaneous items, and an outdoor patio in the summertime, its is a great place to stop in for lunch before you splurge on a cone at nearby artisanal glacier Biblioquet, or to pick up dinner for the family.
