all jazzed up: House of Jazz is one of the city’s most startling hidden gems. Since 1968 this resto-bar serves up Louisiana-style cooking in a warm, cozy, and musical atmosphere.
Beautiful chandeliers cover the ceiling, and the design is very vintage - art deco meets decadence. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and patrons are polite and respectful music lovers. A really great place for a first date, as the place itself is so engaging you won’t be short on observations and comments. $5 cover.
