This giant cedar log cabin features a private golf course, the Fairmont Kenauk hunting and fishing reserve (complete with woodland cabins, sporting clays, and canoeing, fishing, hiking or hunting expeditions) a Land Rover off-road driving school, horseback riding, back country nature tours on atv’s, snowshoeing, dog sledding, skating, and over 26 kilometres of cross-country ski trails.
Take advantage of the state of the art fitness facilities, indoor and outdoor pools, or cozy up with a warm drink around a facet of the impressive six-sided stone fireplace in the centre of the foyer. Providing relaxing chalet-style accommodations, the Chateau is a haven for leisure and repose, as exemplified by the wonderful Montebello Spa which features maple sugar scrubs and an outdoor “porch pedicure”, so you can sit back in a roomy Adirondack chair and enjoy the spectacular view of the Ottawa River.
