Bagel World Coffee Shop

336 Wilson Av, North York, ON, M3H1S9

Rated this place:

bring on the cream cheese and lox platter!: This no-frills restaurant is popular for take out on a weekend morning but people also line up to sit down for some eggs with their requisite scrumptious bagels or flagels (flat bagels- so good- trust me!) Bring a few friends and nosh on your cream cheese and lox or tuna platters with all of the fixings. Their poached eggs are always soft and runny and old timers lust after their scrambled eggs and onions.

St. Urbain Bagel Bakery

895 Eglinton W, Toronto, ON, M6C2C1

Rated this place:

Bagel heaven: A great thing to do on a Saturday morning is to head down to St. Urbain to get some of their freshly baked bagels. Watch the staff use long wooden paddles to insert and remove the bagels from the traditional brick oven. Then hurry home to eat your purchases while they’re still warm. Yummm. The big sellers are poppy seed and sesame seed, although they also offer other flavours, such as cinnamon raisin, onion garlic and whole wheat. In addition to their bagels, St. Urbain sells bagel chips and other related snacks, plus cream cheese and a soy-based alternative to cream cheese called Tofutti.
