Goat Cheese Appetizer + Thin Crust Pizza: Pizza Rustica is a great spot for grabbing a bite before heading out for drinks, to the club, or after the game at Roger's Centre or ACC. On Blue Jays Way just south of King and north of Wellington, it's an easy place to stop-in for a pizza. It can get busy at night, especially on the weekends but a fun place to dine with a group of friends.
They're known for their thin crust pizzas and lots of local in the neighbourhood can be found grabbing take-out pizzas for home. Their signature is the Rustica Pizza (thin crust goat cheese with mushroom, roasted red peppers and prosciutto) which is a pretty good standard pizza, along with their other pizza selections. As typical Italian as it gets, they also offer the regular pasta selections with a variety of cream, tomato and meat sauces.
For a stand-out dish, try the grilled vegetable and salad with goat cheese wrapped in phyllo is delicious - wherever they source the goat cheese from, it has some excellent flavour.
