Trendsetters from Forest Hill

French Country Inc

6 Roxborough St W, Toronto, ON, M5R1T8

Rated this place:

Provence or bust!: Are you aching for a charming life in Provence filled with pastel dishes and cloche jar-covered pastries? Look no further than French County, a lovely little shop tucked away on a side street off of the Rosedale décor strip on Yonge.Bee-engraved glassware, pewter accessories, hotel silverware and stoneware are just some of the multiple tabletop offerings.Although the store has recently been downsized, it is still a must-visit for all lovers of country and shabby-chic.

Good Egg

267 Augusta Avenue, Toronto, ON

Rated this place:

Art & Culture of Food: I'm not much of a cook, but Good Egg gets me excited about the kitchen. Full of books, cookware, and tchotchkes; everything is carefully chosen and beautifully displayed.

They carry many awesome and funny Fred Flare items - and are one of the few places in the city that I've seen selling the "I Am Not A Paper Cup" porcelain mugs.

Perfect store for those "I have no idea what to buy for" people - and a place to keep in mind for upcoming Mother's Day.
