Playland Amusement Park

2901 East Hastings Street , EastVancouver, BC, V5K 5J1

Rated this place:

Fright Nights (Oct), Playland (Spring/Summer): The fright nights are actually really scary - so scary I don't think this fraidy cat is going to ever go back! Playland is always a fun evening for all ages - I like losing my money at over/under and when I feel really brave I go into the batting cages (more scary then the roller coaster if you ask me!)

Strathcona Neighbourhood

Between Hastings St. (north), BNSF Railway (south), Chinatown (west) and Clark Dr. (east), Vancouver, BC, V6A-

Rated this place:

Neighbourhood: I think I read somewhere that it's Vancouver's first suburb or something. It sure feels like it when you walk around. I also have a lot of respect for the people who live there who have worked hard to make it a safer, nicer place to live. It borders on a sketchy part of town that always seems to be featured on the news for it's addiction and crime problems and a stroll through Strathcona always make me feel optimistic that things will get better.
