Cheaper clothing: You don't just 'browse' through Winners stores, you roll up your sleeves, turn off your cell phone, and get involved with those clothing racks. While there is some ugly stuff, I've also found amazing designer apparrel (the one in Lawrence Plaza is of noteworthy mention) and it's also the best place to go for little trinkets and housewares. I recommend going alone or with someone who understands the sheer joy of finding that amazing new shirt amid a pile of polka-dotted acrylic suit jackets.

Designer pumps for wide-width feet: I am very picky when it comes to finding the perfect shoe that looks and feels good, one that I can wear for more than a couple of hours. So, I found the brand Elie Tahari, which fits the arches of my feet perfectly and makes me feel like Cinderella. I can only find them at Winners, and apparently, the only other places to find them is Holt Renfrew's (yeah, right) and Bloomingdale's (which is based in the U.S.).
