Decorating? Re-decorating? Splurge at some places, save at others. This is where I find myself when I want to add something new to my home decor!

Williams-Sonoma Inc

Souped Up Kitchens: If you love spending time in your kitchen, it makes sense to spend good money on it and the tools you use in it. At Williams Sonoma you can spend your money on quality made pots, pans, and utensils to help you make the most out of your cooking. I'm a baker, and I really like the selection of bakeware. There mixing bowls are fun and colorful and make baking less a chore; they really brighten up a room. Also look for they baking tools that will make tasks easier like their mechanical pastry bag or cookie press. My current favourite: their Cup-a-Cake holders - they keep your cupcake and frosting in tact during transportation!

Pottery Barn

A good night's sleep!: If sleep is important to you, then its all about the bedsheets. Pottery Barn has a selection of lush, beautiful sheets that make every night a good one. Their PB Classic 400 thread count Egyptian Cotton sheets are reallly easy on the budget - you can get a sheet set starting at $129. If artwork and decor is more you thing, I would also shop here for their selection of frames and mirrors. If you have kids, you can also visit their Pottery Barn Kids stores - they have everything you would need to decorate a child's room from furniture to storage. Definitely a store for those who are inspired by Style At Home magazines.

The Real Canadian Superstore

Shopping Made Super Easy: This is the place that is giving all the other grocery stores a run for their money. Not only are the prices for grocery staples cheaper and the selection of brands greater, they also have a full beauty department, baby department, housewares and most importantly Joe Fresh Style. Your trips to the grocery store are no longer boring. You can walk away with a new outfit AND a weeks worth of groceries with just one trip to the cash register! Superstore is also big on the environment, encouraging all customers to bring their own bags. In a rush to get dinner on the table? Take advantage of their market and bring home already cooked barbecque chickens, delectable sides and even, Sushi!

Ikea Canada

Throw me a Rug!: Ikea is great for home decor on a budget because you can find many items to suit any mood of decor: classic, minimalist, eccentric you name it. I think one of the best things about Ikea is their textiles and rugs department. All the visuals in that one area are inspiring and you can design a whole room around one eye-catching rug or a metre of fabric (that you will eventually make drapes out of or reupholster a chair with). If you happen to be a seamstress or a real good DIY'er, then definitely check out their fabrics which are colorful and graphic.

A Kitchen too Pretty to Cook In ...: Looking to outfit your kitchen while still being able to afford food? Kitchen Stuff Plus is stocked with all the things you need, from utensils to table runners to quirky kitchen magnets. They also have decor for the rest of your home. I like to shope here for picture frames (which also makes great gifts).
