The truth is it is really hard to find gifts for dad. He doesn't like to shop as it is ... so you kinda have to guess where to go. This is my list of "go to" places where I can purchase memberships, gift certificates or gadgets that dad will enjoy!

Apple Store

1800 Sheppard Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario, M2J5A7

I use to be a PC, now I'm a MAC: It is not possible to walk out of an Apple Store without wanting to purchase something new for your home computer, OR, wanting to swtich from a PC. Apple Fairview has great customer service. I like Apple for their customer support, namely the Genius Bar. As someone who recently purchased a new MacBook, I like the ability to go into a Mac and testdrive all their machines before making a set purchase. Their staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They also give lessons on how to make the most of all your Mac programs.

Best Buy

One-stop computer accessories: Since I run my own business and run it all from my home computer, I always go to Best Buy to pick up what I need from printer paper to new software. True to their commercials, I never feel pressure to buy which is probably because Best Buy isn't commission based. I usually get SimpleTech external harddrives for backing up my computer. They also have a very extensive dvd and cd selection which is always fun to browse. Last but not least, they do have a points program, which with all my purchases, add up!!

Chapters

2901 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, ON, M2K1E6

Kids Love to Play ... I mean read: Shopping and playtime all in one. Chapters (or Indigo) is a great place to spend the afternoon with the family. There is something for everyone. For kids, they love the Thomas the Train table and the selection of books that their school library doesn't have. For parents, they can have a cup of Starbucks and review the latest bestsellers as their kids play and explore. There is ample seating available and no pressure to buy, so you can spend the afternoon with your kids looking at and reading books. Even though you do not have to buy, check out their clearance shelves. Both you and your children will be able to find titles worth buying.

National Sports

1455 Mccowan Rd, Scarborough, ON, M1S5K7

Shopping for the Fit & Healthy Family: National Sports is a great place to go if you and your entire family are active. They have an amazing selection of shoes, including last season's favourites at discounted prices. They have a variety of brands and styles which means everyone can find something they like. Since it's less pricey than its mall counterparts like Champs or Footlocker, new running shoes for you and your children is much more affordable. They also carry lots of sporting equipment from hockey to baseball. It's your one stop shop for everything sporty!

Revolutions Mixed Martial Arts
