Vintage clothing store: It's so organized, if you can actually use the word 'organized' to describe a used clothing store. You can buy, sell and trade and I have already been doing 2 of those since I discovered this place back in the summer. They only pick quality items and the store smells fresh.

Shoe Therapy

1108 Bay Street, Toronto, ON, M5S 2Y1

Shoe repair: The owner of this shop is an absolute shoe connoisseur. I discovered this place by accident on the Internet. I first let them re-sole my Birkenstock sandals and the workmanship was superb. So I decided to give them all my business this past Summer and have since spent over $100 worth of shoe repair at this place. Everything from Australian Blundstone boots to 3-inch stiletto heels comes out looking better than going in. The owner said it's like makeover.

69 Buy the Pound

Vintage clothing store: I absolutely adore the very sensitive electronic scale at this place. There's something about being able to purchase multiple pieces without having to worry about how many pieces that's very alluring to me. Although my mileage at this place is still low, only purchased one cute little white handbag with long strap, I can see myself going back from time to time to rummage the goods and accumulate loots.

Beachside Grill

Brunch, Free pie: You get quantity of quality at this place. The peameal bacon they serve you at this joint are like pork chops. The ham they use are actually Black Forest hams.

The pie is free during dinner hours when you have dinner there. What a concept! My favourite is blueberry. This is probably a limited time offer though.

Sci-fi and fantasy bookstore: They have got a used books section in the back that is fairly well stocked. I have scored signed copies there that are in mint conditions.

BABEL BOOKS & MUSIC

123 Ossington Ave, Toronto, ON, M6J 2Z2

Used media store: They display their feature selections face-up on tables which makes browsing a joy. I have been so overwhelmed by their intelligent selection of books, I have never had a chance to look at their music titles. A great place to drop by after shopping for vintage clothing in the neighbourhood.

Queen Star Restaurant

Best Cheap Eat at West Queen West: An open kitchen grill that offers a variety of Chinese and Canadian meals. Also LLBO.

Barefoot Friendly Change-Rooms: Tried on a couple of capri tights. Being the middle of Winter, I had to remove my boots and socks first. The light in the change room isn't that good, so I stepped out to see myself in better lights. Noticed I have been prancing around in my bare feet without feeling the cold. The hardwood floor they got in this place is quite agreeable to my bare feet. I struck a few poses inside the change room and realized that the floor is actually warming to my body temperature. Nice.
