These are the places I make reservations at when I want to treat my family, in-laws and all ...

Richtree Market Restaurants

42 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON, M5E1T1

PIck & Choose for Picky Kids: A great place where picky kids can pick and choose. They can have their choice of making their own pizza, putting together their own pasta plate, and of course, developing a fantastic dessert. Since it’s a busy and louder atmosphere, no one will notice when your child refuses to sit still and eat. It's lively and wide open so there's lots of space for you and your kids to maneuver around. Reservations aren't necessary and there is no sitting around and waiting for food. Dessert is always a treat because of the selection. Go for the Belgian Waffles - kids can top it anyway they like!

Congee Queen

2930 Steeles Avenue East, Markham, ON, L3T 7X1

Great Chinese Food NORTH of Chinatown: Congee Queen is a hotspot in the North York area for Chinese food done right. If you are craving chow mein or deep fried squid, this is the place to go. The portions are generous and the taste is superb! They always have ample waitstaff (though you can be served by over four different people - which can be confusing) so service is quick. Reservations are always best as I've never seen it not full. It seems to be crowded through its lunch and dinner service, and on weekends - forget about it - if you don't have resos, you will be waiting forever!

Imperial Buffet

163 Harwood Avenue, Ajax, ON, L1Z0A1

Food for the entire family!: All you can eat crab legs and a chocolate fountain, of course you wouldn't eat them together, but you CAN enjoy them under one roof. Imperial Buffet is one of the better buffets out there and is open for lunch and dinner throughout the week. If you are a seafood lover, check out their Saturday evening buffet which has crab legs. They also have a small selection of sushi, and if you have picky eaters for kids, they have chicken wings, fries and other kid-friendly picks. Last but not least, their dessert selection is AWESOME ... belgian waffles, tiramisu, and chocolate fountain ... no further explanation necessary ....

Pearl Harbourfront Restaurant

207 Queens Quay W, Suite 200, Toronto, ON, M5J1A7

Yum!: This is one of the finer Chinese Restaurants in the city, made all the better by its view of the Harbourfront area. Unlike eating at a dim sum restaurant in Chinatown, you won't be waiting in line too long during the weekend midday rush - just be sure to make a reservation. Though priced slightly higher than other restaurants, the food is wonderfully prepared and, like a true dim sum meal, service is brought around on carts throughout the restaurant. Try the stuffed eggplant and deep fried squid, as well as the more recognizable dishes like har gow shrimp dumplings.
