Modern Furniture & Home Decor: I love this hidden gem in Queen West. Selling funky modern furniture,lighting,ceiling fans,storage solutions and accessories. One thing that's huge in home decor that Quasi Modo has a great selection of are stools . Serving a multi purpose in any room. Stools are perfect solution for extra seating or as side tables. Couple of my favorites are Marcel Wanders' Stone stools in a range of colours,Warren Platner's Platner Stool and who wouldn't love Philippe Starck Gnomes? They also carry unique modern exterior items like door bells,mailboxes and house numbers.

Antiques: Queen west antiques is the best antique store in the city. I enjoy shopping at QWA because of it's clutter free enviroment, you can easily see each piece and move freely around the shop. Each piece is selected with thought and intension before brought in. Prices are mostly reasonable. I find that some of the smaller pieces have a quicker turnover rate than the larger pieces so with saying that if you see something snag it up fast.

The one of a kind show takes place in the spring and fall each year at the Direct Energy Centre, the One of a Kind Show features the works of more than 750 Canadian artists. Fashion,jewellery,crafts,food, home accessories,furniture,etc . . .There's lots to see so make sure you give yourself enough time to see it all. You can also get your ticket stamped to go back another day.Things to bring: Reuseable shopping bags and a bottle of water.

Tiles: Tiles Plus is my fave place to get tiles plus so much more. They have wide variety of imported tiles from Spain.Faucets,bath tubs, Toto toilets which have heated seats! Current,chic and very unique. One of my new loves is the large 17.5" x 35" coloured glass tiles that is very European and looks so fantastic on walls.Also huge right now is tile with large prints.This creates a stunning mosaic but not the chessy kind with tiny little individual tiles.Big prints,big tiles,big YES!
