Sababa Restaurant

Rated this place:

390 Steeles W, Toronto, ON

Shawarma/Falafel : The grocery store attached has a bountiful variety of Middle Eastern products. I usually get take out instead of sitting in the restaurant so I can browse the grocery store while I wait. The lentil soup has just the right amount of lemon and makes for an excellent side.

Inn On The 20

Rated this place:

3845 Main St, Jordan Station, ON, L0R1S0

Weekend Getaways

Weekend Getaways : A renovated sugar warehouse offers an abundance of body relaxation and palate stimulation. Suites include a fireplace, jacuzzi and down-filled pillows. Ground floor guests are lucky enough to have private gardens. The spa is in a century home and the restaurant serves regional food (braised Ontario lamb at its best). Make sure to take advantage of the Cave Spring Winery tasting room to learn about which wines to pair with your dinner. I suggest the Riesling ice wine for dessert!

Kilgour's Bar Meets Grill

Rated this place:

509 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON, M5S1Y2

Breakfast: Come for the breakfast and stay for the scrabble! I often find myself sinking into their worn out couches on a Sunday afternoon, debating between eggs benedict with butter free hollandaise sauce or light and flakey spanakopita. I usually have breakfast, which is served until 3pm, and I stick around to share a couple pints and a few games of scrabble with the regulars. After several hours, I'm ready for lunch! It's hard not to be a regular in a place like this.

BMV Books

Rated this place:

10 Edward St, Toronto, ON, M5G 1C9

Bookstore: The poetry section has rare gems (nothing more than ten dollars) and the erotica section is hidden enough that you don't have to worry about being caught while browsing through it.

Buff Nail Lounge

Rated this place:

Manicures & pedicures: I hate appointments and so do they. Great for a spontaneous girls' day out.

Grateful Head Collective Salon

Rated this place:

1006 Dundas St. W., Toronto, ON, M6J1W6

Hair salon: I love the art on the brick walls, I love the conversations with the stylists, I love the music in the background and I love looking like a rock star!

Pop Bistro

Rated this place:

686 Queen St. East, Toronto, ON, M4M 1G9

Creme brulee: The menu changes for every season; from lamb meatloaf in the winter to maple glazed ribs in autumn. However, their creme brulee is seasonal all year round! Cracking open that perfect caramel glass coating is just as fun in summer as it is in spring!
