Bar: Go west on Queen, way west, and then keep on going. After Jamieson, you'll find an awesome bar called Mitzi's Sister where they've got great live bands and good beer on tap. I don't often eat nachos, but the ones served up here are both good and interesting...never had cucumber in nachos before!

Espresso machine shop: What better a place to buy the ultimate espresso machine than an NPO that supports the environment and the sustainable development of coffee farms! This place has an espresso and coffee bar which is definitely worth trying. Built out of an old TD bank building from 1911, this shop sells top of the line espresso machines, grinders, roasters, accessories, and above all else...green beans!

Cuban restaurant: Personable and intimate. Great Cuban food! Try the signature dish...Cordero al Vino Tinto. The beve's are delish. There's a musical duo that interact with the audience in a fun (definitely NOT cheesy) way.

Kosher restaurant: $. Good food, but incredibly slow service. Come here if you want to have dinner with a friend that only eats kosher, and you have lots of time. I know this doesnt sound like a great review, but the food is just that good that it supercedes the snails pace

Ethiopian restaurants: Great food...love the lamb yebigs (sp ?). The 30-min prep Ethiopean coffee is a nice treat. Cute atmosphere with the aroma of frankincense in the air. Check out the wares on display / for sale. I crave this place about once a week...thankfully, it's next door to Manic!

Bar: What can I say? The biggest selection of beer I've ever seen! A great nite scene, a decent restaurant food and the staff are always smiling. The music does get too loud for enjoyable conversation (I know I'm sounding old...), but the atmosphere somewhat makes up for it. For a snack, try the Wurst Sampler.

Italian restaurants: The creamiest tiramisu, and freshly made, too. This is one of my favourite Italian restaurants. The main dishes are great, and the house red (Citra) is delicious. Very friendly staff in a great setting. The only problem is that it's hard to limit how many times we go there!

Cupcake: Words cannot express... They have the ONLY cupcakes that even come close the the Koo Koo cupcakes of the West coast chain "Cupcakes". I forget the name, but the vegan cupcake with coconut on top is divine. Not a fan of vegan? Not to worry...give it a try, and you will be.
