Neighborhood to wander through: It is just so darn fun to dazily browse about the shops and restaurants and watch all of the people and clothing and art. It makes me happy.

Kalendar

Rated this place:

546 College St, Toronto, ON, M6G1B1

After dinner drink: This is my favourite place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine (or sangria in the summer) and catch up with old friends. On weekends, it is bustling with energy and the beauty of the building and its antique furnishings create an air of romance. I recommend grabbing a seat at the bar and admiring the fancy drinks as they are concocted.

Concord Billiards

Rated this place:

937 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON, M6H1L5

Sunday brunch: This locally owned, quaint resto/bar/gallery offers a simple, but unique breakfast menu. Try the light and refreshing lemon scramble or the chipotle eggs benedict. My favourite is the flavourful tomato, oregano and feta scramble. Make sure to ask for an order of the delicious homemade salsa. Mmm!

Avli Restaurant

Rated this place:

401 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON, M4K1P1

Mediterranean restaurant: The food is delicious and decadent and the service is friendly and entertaining. It is the perfect combination of classy and cozy with a lively buzz (but not so lively as to inhibit conversation). Make sure you leave room for the homemade Greek coffee and bougatsa or baklava pastry.

Body Blitz

Rated this place:

471 Adelaide St. W., Toronto, ON, M5V1T1

Water spa: This is the ultimate oasis from the urban hustle and bustle. This women's only spa (sorry fellas) features a luxurious salt water pool, green tea hot tub, infrared sauna, steam room, and torturous (but supposedly healthy) cold plunge. The soft lighting and subdued ambiance leaves you feeling like a true goddess. There is no time limit, so you can stay until all of the stress has soaked out of you. The best part is, it's only $45 (or $35 on Tuesdays).
