Firefly Seafood & Steak House

Rated this place:

Don't say I didn't warn you!: I think in order to "effectively" convey to the 'public' the quality (or lack thereof) of their food, I will break the review into a few key components. The salad as a starter item was actually pretty good, ordered the Caesar Salad with Turkey Strips (4/5). Then came the lobster bisque which was a tad salty but it was acceptable since there was actually lobster bits in the soup (3/5). Then came the laughable main course. I ordered the "Prime Ribs", and was served with pretty much a beef steak with sauce. Ordered medium well done and received pretty much raw beef :( and let's not even talk about the taste (0/5). My girlfriend ordered Seafood Grill Mix, which sounds very nice on paper but the "jumbo shrimp" was not jumbo, the scallop was small...etc... Now came probably the best dish of the night being the chocolate cake. YUM! The evening was saved thanks to the cake, the service of the waiter, and me being in a good mood :). However, this is a place I will never try again, even if they offer their food for free.

Rexall Centre

Rated this place:

1 Shoreham Dr., North York, ON, M3N3A6

Sports venues, Tennis court

Sports venues, Tennis court: Watching a highly competitive tennis match between two high profile athletes like Maria Sharapova and whoever cannot be beat!

Playing on the center court where greats such as Roger Federer, Martina Hingis and Monica Seles plays is simply jaw dropping and thrilling.

Nothing beats watching top notch Tennis players compete for the Rogers Cup.

DavidsTea

Rated this place:

336 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON, M5V 2A2

Astonishing Selection of Tea + Service: Green Tea from Japan or China. Premium Tea ranging from relatively inexpensive to pretty luxurious (30 $). But I think it is their customer service and wide selection of different types of tea that sets them apart. The customer representative there was knowledgeable about tea and gave us several samples to help us make our decisions. At the end, we tried a couple of Japanese Green Tea. This is definitely a place I will be visiting quite regularly.

Amazing Pulled Pork Southern Sandwich: I agree with @davebobak. Great portion sizes and tremendous value relative to other downtown sandwich places. I also enjoyed the smell and decor of the place. The Yukon Gold Fries are a must try even though I thought it might have been a bit on the expensive side. One additional thing, they have extremely courteous staff :)

Getting fit with aerobics and weights

Getting fit with aerobics and weights: I recently signed up for Markville Fitness by taking one of their fabulous deals which includes aerobics and yoga classes! The instructors for these classes are extremely friendly and helpful. The gym is a bit old and probably does need a little upgrade when it comes to the change rooms. This is the only reason when price, location, and quality that they get a 4 star instead of a perfect 5 from me.

Goldstone Noodle Restaurant

Baked pork chop rice

Baked pork chop rice: Hong Kong-style baked pork chop rice is one of my favorite dishes. Its a very popular dish that can be found in most HK Style Cafes. We waited a bit long for it, (20 minutes) but the wait was well worth it, too bad I couldn't finish the entire plate.
