Lula Lounge

Rated this place:

1585 Dundas St W, Toronto, ON, M6K1T9

Live music venues: They always have lively music and interesting bands in. The selection is always sure to get the crowd onto their feet and moving and here it doesn't matter if you can dance or not, everyone gets up!

Authentic greek restaurant: It's still a family owned and run place that is affordable while maintaining authentic menu choices. You're always guaranteed a friendly smile and quick service!

Toronto Zoo

Rated this place:

361A Old Finch Avenue, Scarborough, ON, M1B 5K7

Major attraction: Changes are constantly going on. Every year I look forward to visiting the newly renovated area. This year we checked out the new Australasia pavillion which I'd been waiting for ages to see. Now we can't wait to finally see the Polar Bears in their new digs next year. They were due. It's a great way to keep in touch with nature and all members young and old can enjoy the child like antics of the orangutangs

7 Numbers

Rated this place:

516 Eglinton Avenue West, Toronto, ON, M5N1A1

Romantic restaurant: While it is a small place, the comfy home style feel is nice. Even though you may just be eating at a table for 2 in a small restaurant, it is nicely candle lit and close enough to others to make it feel like a family experience. The staff are very easy going and good natured and what's best is the menu is also perfect for sharing!

Chinatown

Rated this place:

Spadina Ave. (Queen to College) and Dundas St. (east and west of Spadina), Toronto, ON

Neighbourhood on a saturday: Where else can you eat, shop for the house, do groceries, pick up neat nik nacs, and be immersed in different culture! A telling moment for me was when I (an east indian) took my east asian students (chinese, korean, and japanese) for lunch to a vietnamese restaurant and we sat beside a hispanic family! This is why I love toronto!

Masala Mehndi Masti - CNE

Rated this place:

200 Princes' Blvd, Toronto, ON, M6K3C3

Contribution from a cultural community: Finally a festival that highlights the diversity of the south asian cultures and something that can resonate with our youth in this city while sharing it with others

Spoof

Rated this place:

350 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON, M5V 2A2

Cheap fashion: Quick, easy, fuss-free these are the hallmarks of a great store. My sister and I always know what we can expect and always know we'll find something new and trendy that's also in our price range. Spoof has become a staple now for any of our queen west shopping trips!
