A downtown dweller, editor and writer for over eight years, I've come to appreciate all the variety this city has to offer. Shopping has become a favourite pastime, but when I'm not rummaging through racks or perusing the beauty aisles, you'll find me exploring the many vibrant neighbourhoods.

Riviera Bakery Ltd

Rated this place:

576 College St, Toronto, ON, M6G1B3

best lattes and morning routine: There's a warm vibe to this tiny bakery. Maybe it's the friendly Italian staff, the smell of freshly baked bread, the sweet desserts in the windows or the regular morning customers that stop by to enjoy a cup of coffee and pastry. Did I also mention they have the creamiest and most delicious lattes in town?

Churrasco of St. Lawrence

Rated this place:

93 Front Street E. (upper level, 49), Toronto, Ontario, M5E1C3

amazing custard tarts: There's a handful of places to buy custard tarts in this city and although my first stop for these sweet treats is usually Nova Era Bakery, the portuguese custard tarts from this vendor in St. Lawrence Market are just as good, if not better, because they are so deliciously fresh and tasty. I would head over in the morning or early afternoon and enjoy them with a strong cup of coffee.
