Pad thai: This pretty little restaurant is right off Queens Quay (across from the Radisson). Delicious, carefully made food - I love their chicken curry, cashew nut chicken, and they have the best pad thai in the city! Very friendly service. 246 Queens Quay West, Toronto 416-598-0600

Coquine

Rated this place:

2075 Yonge St, Toronto, ON, M4S2A4

Bistro: I stepped in & felt like I was back in Paris! It's intimate yet lively & there's a personal touch. Hosts & servers are gracious & friendly. Had the Coquine Salad-delicious mix of flavours! Steak Frites-perfectly doneto how I like it. Had a bite of the Roast Chicken-moist & flavourful, and a special-Braised Short Ribs on Mushroom Risotto-delicious! I was too stuffed for dessert, but everyone else who had it loved it! www.coquinerestaurant.com 2075 Yonge St Toronto, ON (416) 322-6767

khmer thai

Rated this place:

1018 St. Clair Ave. W., Toronto, ON, M6E1A42

Tom yum soup: Of all the Tom Yum's I've tasted (Thai Prawn soup), this is simply the most delicious I've ever had! Rich, flavourful broth with fresh & meaty mushrooms and plump shrimp. My mouth waters just thinking about it. My boyfriend describes it as the best soup he's ever tasted! One serving ($7.25) is good for a meal. But if sharing, it's good for at least 2 people. 1018 St Clair Ave. W. at Dufferin 416-654-0609

Harbourfront Centre

Rated this place:

235 Queens Quay W, Toronto, ON, M5J 2G8

Ice skating rink

Ice skating rink: Beautiful lake view! Most of the time there is music and pretty lights at night. The rink is not too crowded, and there's always a hot chocolate or coffee nearby (should the cafe on site be closed, there's a Starbucks & Second Cup just a short walk away)!

Centre Island

Rated this place:

Toronto Islands, Toronto, ON, M5J1A1

Walking, rollerblading: Best place to rollerblade leisurely - no vehicles to avoid! If you stumble, you will more likely fall on a patch of grass than a hard sidewalk!

The Hideout

Rated this place:

484 Queen West, Toronto, ON, M5V 2B2

Bar

Bar: It's a nice and cozy bar. If you're hungry, the food is quite good (shepherd's pie!). The live music is excellent, and if you want a little more quiet, there's a beautiful billiards room in the back, and an outside patio, too!
