Banjara Indian Cuisine

Rated this place:

750 Yonge St., Toronto, ON, M4Y 2B6

Butter chicken: When there were called Mr. Majarajah I ate there. Then they moved around the corner and became The Banjara, I ate there too. I'd follow them anywhere because their Butter Chicken is the best I've ever had. It's my favorite indian dish and I've ordered it in restaurants all over the world. By far the Banjara has the richest most delectable flavor of them all.

Giovanna Trattoria

Rated this place:

647 King W, Toronto, ON, M5V1M5

Panna cotta: I admit to a sweet tooth. I love Giovanna's panna cotta. It's just perfect. In fact, I loved it so much I came home and made my own but using Splenda in place of sugar for a guilt-free desert. If you're a pudding or custard lover...you've got to try this one.

King Falafel

Rated this place:

875 Eglinton Ave W #17, York, ON, M6C3Z9

Falafel: Seriously, I've eaten falafel all over the world and still I find King Falafel to have the best. I don't know what they do that's different but it is.. It's a great value as well as a tasty treat. The tahini that you dip with is chock full of those omega-3 fatty acids that we hear so much about. It's good for you...eat more of it.

Yorkdale Shopping Centre

Rated this place:

1 Yorkdale Rd, North York, ON, M9M 1B9

Shopping centres: There is so much variety in this mall that it becomes your 'one stop' to find whatever it is you're looking for. I wear a plus size and in this one location there are 6 different shops that cater to my needs. And it's free parking. What could be more convenient? I love it.

No Frills

Rated this place:

222 Lansdowne Avenue, Toronto, ON, M4W 1A7

Grocery store: This is a giant store. I find it interested to walk the aisles and look at products from all over the world. They happen to have a very extensive selection. If you're looking for something different, this No Frills in Scarborough is the place to find it.

The Beer Store

Rated this place:

3154 HURONTARIO STREET, Mississauga, ON, L5B1N9

Beer selection: I lived in Miami most of my life. I'd never seen a "beerstore" before. In Florida and most of the U.S. beer can be purchased in any grocery store. I was shocked to see the monopoly that the Beer Store has going on, however, the selection IS complete.

Country Style Hungarian Rstrnt

Rated this place:

450 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON, M5S1X8

Natur- schnitzel: Their schnitzel is the best I've found in the GTA. I love this particular one because it's not breaded so I save on the carbs. Ask for you schnitzel with dumplings (spaetzle) and you'll enjoy the creamy goodness with a wonderful gravy. And oh, the dumplings aren't carb free. Save where you can, spend where it counts!

Air Canada Centre

Rated this place:

40 Bay St, Toronto, ON, M5J2X2

Sports venue: There is a passion about hockey in Toronto. When the Maple Leafs play they're awesome and I love the excitement surrounding a game. Especially a winning game. But win or lose, the spirit behind the Maple Leafs is what it's all about.

Rated this place:

Downtown landmark: It's so majestic and has become the symbol of this great city. It is a national treasure and we're so fortunate to drive by it so frequently.

Centre Street Deli

Rated this place:

1136 Centre St, Thornhill, ON, L4J3M8

Bagelach, Montreal smoked meat sandwich: They found a way to combine a blintz with sweet knish dough. This is simply delicious, especially with sour cream. They even sell mini bagelach which are perfect for parties. In fact, they sell a variety of mini things ... all convenient... all delicious.

Do the words succulent and juicy mean anything to you? If so you are going to make Centre St. Deli one of your own faves. They serve it up lean or fatty (your preference) and it just can't be compared to anything else you find in the GTA. If you've ever eaten at Schwartz's Deli in Montreal then you won't be disappointed here. Same amazing quality, same scrumptious flavors.

Congee Queen

Rated this place:

895 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto, ON, M3C3L2

Calamari, Chinese green beans w/minced pork & dried fish, Sliced barbecued pork

Calamari, Chinese green beans w/minced pork & dried fish, Sliced barbecued pork: It's really a tossup between Richmond Court and the Congee Queen when it comes to Salt & Pepper Squid a.k.a. Calamari. I've travelled the world and I order calamari everywhere I go. Hands down, this is the best I've had anywhere on the planet. You've got to try it.

Last week I ventured away from my standard order and tried things from their menu. These string beans were so good that I was scraping the plate with my spoon to get every last morsel. While you're there try the fried chicken...it's NOT breaded but it's finger lickin' amazing!

If you like sliced barbecued pork and you've never tasted it at the Congee Queen, you're in for a treat. This is llike a different product than you can get anywhere on the planet. It's succulent, juicy, tender, and full of flavor.

Kensington Market

Rated this place:

S. of College St., W. of Spadina Ave., Toronto, ON, M5L1G4

Exploring kensington market

Exploring kensington market: I love a bargain and finding something out of the past. Kensington Market is the place for this and great food too. Awesome empanadas, the ultimate coffee, baked goods, fresh fruits/veggies, and more. Kensington is a little pocket of paradise if you're in the mood for funk! I love it there.
