Sushi Island Japanese Restaurant

Rated this place:

571 College St, Toronto, ON, M6G1B2

Sushi places

Sushi places: I dont know about sitting in there, but its always got line ups. They make sushi quick and I take it home with a 20% discount (but you have to remember to ask for it). I hear the all you can eat is a really good deal. You know what i'm gonna eat it tonight!

Steam Whistle Brewing

Rated this place:

255 Bremner Blvd, Toronto, ON, M5V3M9

Brewery

Brewery: You walk in a piece of Toronto history and a couple tickets for free beer! Cant beat that. The location is key as we are close to the Skydome, and in the middle of everything. Cool connection is the founders are from my neighbourhood, and are really chill guys.

K & P Variety Store

Rated this place:

533 College St, Toronto, ON, M6G1A8

Variety store

Variety store: It is run by incredibly friendly people who sell milk, veggies, fruit, flowers, and anything else you need conveniently at very honest prices. The fruits and veggies pretty much the same price as the big chains. I live a few doors down and do most of my shopping there partly because I'm lazy but mainly because I would much rather give my money to the owners than the corporate overpriced Dominion. Swing by if you're in the area and say hello.

Gladstone Hotel

Rated this place:

1214 Queen St W, Toronto, ON, M6J1J6

Karaoke bar

Karaoke bar: Its a nice lounge bar with a great crowd. You better get there early to request a spot on stage. The host is a real pro and even has an 'applause' sign he puts up when someone deserves it. Last night's fav was "Welcome to the Jungle" by a serious Guns and Roses fan with great air guitar skills. The dude spun around on the ground of the stage. Classic.

Lettieri Foods

Rated this place:

87 Avenue Rd, Toronto, ON, M5R2G3

Coffee shop for people watching: The location is key as an intro to Yorkville. Grab a coffee hot or cold and watch the world go by. You might spot a minor celeb

Ice cream in little italy

Ice cream in little italy: I walked past it so many times drawn to the set up of chairs outside it on Manning St just off College. Muskoka Chairs, kids chairs, benches, all multicoloured and fun looking. It took a laundry night to get me in to try it 2 weeks ago and I've been back 3 times since. Couples and families, and kids on bikes seems to be the crowd. It's Retro 70's feel, a tribute to true American style ice cream. I usually get the freshly made frozen yogourt but they've got it all.

Air Canada Centre

Rated this place:

40 Bay St, Toronto, ON, M5J2X2

Sports venue

Sports venue: Its just a great stadium. It has amazing sightlines, and comfortable seats. Everything to do with it is so damn expensive, but this is big league sports, in the big city.

Great food and honest prices. $30 bucks overfeeds 2 people. We had lunch the next day with their combo platter.

Birthday cake, Ice cream when i was young

Birthday cake, Ice cream when i was young: Didnt every kid just pray for ice cream cake to come out with the birthday song?

Got me when I was young. Living in Italy for a couple years I never really got into the gelato. Ice cream what it was to you when you first craved it.

Winners

Rated this place:

17890 Yonge St, Newmarket, ON, L3Y 8S1

Clothing store: You can find some gems in there and pay next to nothing. I still am amazed sometimes when I look at the bill. College and Yonge seems to be the best one.

Kalendar

Rated this place:

Brunch

Brunch: Well, the food is great and the location is key (right across the street from my house). I would suggest you try the French Toast stuffed with mango, banana, and cream cheese. I order it almost everytime, but you might want to share because its quite filling. The side order of country sausage is the best i've ever had. Yummy

Eat My Martini

Rated this place:

648 College St, Toronto, ON, M6G1B8

Martini

Martini: They have a huge selection, the atmosphere is really laid back and social, but what it comes down to is price, 5$ martinis every night! Oh ya and its stumbling distance from my place in Little Italy.

College Street (Little Italy)

Rated this place:

Jonathan's classic pizza: The pizza actually tastes almost as good as pizza made in Italy. I lived in Rome and other parts of Italy for 2 years and became accustomed to quality. Now that I'm back in Toronto (from here) I have basically limited myself to Jonothan's Classic Pizza and Amato's. Jonothan's wins out for best pizza I know in Toronto.

The Social

Rated this place:

1100 Queen St. W., Toronto, ON, M6J 1H9

Dance bar: I like the Social because the vibe is right. You feel like you've escaped the uptight yuppie Drake Hotel style Queen West and you've made it to a good time joint where you can leave your pretension at the door. The crowd is there to party, and possibly "socialize" with other people they don't know! In this day and age in the big city you cant always find that. I like The Social because of the vibe, the tunes, and the drinks are honestly priced.
