O2 Oasis Oxygen Bar

Rated this place:

4059 Saint Laurent, Montreal, QC, H2W1Y9

Oxygen bar: It might be total BS, but the zen like atmosphere at the "bar" is very soothing. If you are sick, low on energy, or need a study boost, they will show you a menu of different flavours of oxygen that have different healing purposes. A cool tea bar or a massage can heighten the experience. My fave: grapefruit. I swore I was energized when I left the bar!

Spot to buy work clothes: Like Club Monaco or Banana Repuplic, Bedo has an affordable yet high quality line of clothing that is work appropriate. But they have a Montreal flair added to their clothes and edginess ensues. Go to spot for fitted pants, blazers, and shirt dresses.

Fly

Rated this place:

Furniture: This is the only branch in North America of the French chain. Fly is near ikea, and caters to those who want to decorate on a budget. Furniture- including living rooms and bedroom sets are displayed in the showroom. However, fly is a bit more chic and costly than Ikea but is worth it to add a little European flavour to your home.

Eva B

Rated this place:

2013 St Laurent, Montreal, QC, H2X2T3

Costume shop: Although they are busiest around Halloween season, Eva B has awesome vintage pieces that could be worn seriously year round. I have mixed and matched my way through this shop and come up with many great halloween memories here (80's madonna! Sexy Cop!). Costumes are rented here which means two things: you get great quality pieces and you pay up if any part of your costume is lost when you return it.
