Lenscrafters

Rated this place:

220 Yonge St. (Toronto Eaton Centre), Toronto, ON, M5B2H1

Eyeglasses store: I know they're a big corporate giant, but I love Lenscrafters selection and fast service. I've tried smaller boutiques, as the hippie in me hates buying into the almost-monopoly Lenscrafters clearly has, but I'm never satisfied anywhere else. Ahhh, well. Such is life.

Bloor Street United Church

Rated this place:

300 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON, M5S1W3

Church: I love this place sooooo much. I'm by no means devout, and probably go to church twice a year, but the building is gorgeous and a central part of annex life. It's being torn down soon - appreciate it while you can! :(

Sound Academy

Rated this place:

11 Polson St., Toronto, ON, M5A 1A4

Concert venue: Formerly The Docks, this is the best place for to dance and get your drink on to your fave band. I saw Metric here in February 08, and it was amazing. Huge and airy inside, and street meat vendors ready to feed your drunk ass on the way home - perfection. This venue is out of the way, but worth it.

Kliks Beauty Centre

Rated this place:

York Lanes, 4700 Keele St, North York, ON, M3J1P3

Cheap hair salon: Located on the York University campus, I've gotten my hair cut here for the past four years (when I'm too tired/busy/lazy to leave campus and go elsewhere.) Reasonably priced, friendly, and I've never gotten a bad cut. They did a great job on my highlights a few months back too, and actually listen when you describe what you'd like done! Great place.

Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts

Rated this place:

145 Queen St W, Toronto, ON, M5A 1E8

Classical music venue, Theatre: From an architectural perspective, the building is gorgeous, and from a musical standpoint, the acoustics are amazing. A really lovely place to see the opera - after three solid hours of Wagner, you'll appreciate the comfy seats!

Have you been to this place? It's STUNNING. The sound is amazing and the ambiance, lovely. Roy Thompson Hall will never feel the same having experienced the Four Seasons centre...definitely one of Toronto's architectural highlights.
