Sherwood park: This is a beautiful oasis in the middle of Toronto. The park is lush and lovely with paths to go walking, a large hill and a playground at the base. Dogs and dog owners agree.

Thornhill Outdoor Swimming Pool

Thornhill outdoor pool: This is a great outdoor pool for families open from July to September. There is a very large pool perfect for pre-schoolers, who can proudly stand in the deep end, and a deeper pool for older children. Just outside the pool area there is also a park and big field to run around. There is an admission charge.

Picnic spot: I have enjoyed picnics here since I was a child and there are a lot of memories attached. Being a 'picnic'-a-holic, I am game for most suggestions, including the backyard.
