Casa Imperial Fine Chinese Cuisine

Rated this place:

4125 Steeles Avenue East, Scarborough, ON, M1W 3T4

Chinese restaurants: An authentic, slightly above average Chinese dim sum/dinner restaurant. The cool thing about this place is that it is inside the Devonsleigh Place, an old 19th century mansion that has been preserved due to its historic background. Basically, the owners bought this historic mansion and put a fine dining Chinese restuarant inside (think Keg Mansion downtown, but instead a Chinese Restaurant). A must try for Authentic Chinese food lovers!!

Salon Testa Rossa

Rated this place:

3401 Dufferin St #401, North York, ON, M6A2T9

Hair salon: Because they have some of the best hair stylists there who specialize in doing trendy hairstyles!! I get haircuts every two weeks, so I'm pretty picky about my hair - and I've been going to this place now for a year and a half now. It's moderately priced and they are good at doing exactly what you want them to do.

Eat My Martini

Rated this place:

648 College St, Toronto, ON, M6G1B8

Bar: It's a friendly place where you can bring your friends to try all sorts of different martinis, and learn from the menur what's in each. Lots of my female friends like this place when I take them here for the first time.

Live Organic Food Bar

Rated this place:

264 Dupont Street, Toronto, ON, M5R1V7

Organic food shop: Because they've got great organic food and blender made drinks and the decor is so warm, inviting, and tranquil - especially the patio. Even though I'm not vegan, I really enjoyed eating at this place. The patio really is one of a kind - the decor/setting livens you up!

Retro City Sneaker Boutique

Rated this place:

3245 Finch Ave. East, Toronto, ON, M1W 4C1

Favorite sneaker store: This is for all the sneakers-heads who live uptown. It's rare that there's an urban sneaker boutique in the uptown area, which is what really makes this place a gem (why drive/bus downtown to get those new fresh kicks you've been long awaiting for when you can get them uptown !!)

Sushi Train

Rated this place:

750 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON, M4W2G4

Sushi places: Because this is the only (if not only one of a few) sushi places with a sushi conveyer belt in Toronto. Basically, there is a conveyer belt that moves around the restaurant, carrying sushi on it. Everyone sits in front of the conveyer belt and takes whatever sushi they want. The sushi is not super amazing or anything, it's more of the decor/setting, as it has the sushi conveyer belt.

Miss Saigon Restaurant

Rated this place:

394 Spadina Ave, Toronto, ON, M5T2G5

Vietnamese restaurant: One of the best Vietnamese restuarants on Spadina in downtown Toronto. One of the best because of the higher quality of meats, noodles, rice etc. they use and the more seasoned and flavourful broths they use.

Nervosa Cafe

Rated this place:

75 Yorkville Ave, Toronto, ON, M5R1B8

Italian restaurants: Nice intimate, chic restaurant (imagine a small 2 floor house, with an open 2nd floor patio in the summer that overlooks the streets of Yorkville) Great for dinner with friends or date because it has an intimate yet casual setting. Tasty, Modern take on Italian pastas and entrees, big servings too.

Body Blue

Rated this place:

724 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON, M6J 1E8

Place to buy jeans: Great selection of higher end designer jeans - both men's and women's. Carries Brands ranging from Nudie, Citizens of Humanity, Earnest Sewn to Diesel and Mavi. What I like about this place (the West end, Queen Street West and Bathurst/Dufferin Location) is that it is a more intimate and more of a boutique than the other places in the city that sells these kinds of jeans - so more sizes are available, easier/faster to get customer service.

Caz's Fish & Chips

Rated this place:

3305 Yonge, Toronto, ON, M4N2L8

Seafood restaurants: I'm a big fan of fish with no batter (not deep fried), and this place does a great job. It's mainly a take out shop, not really a restuarant, but everytime I am in the area (there is one location in downtown Toronto) I try to eat there. It's hard to find a quick, take out place where you have a choice of different kinds of fish that can be cooked in a decently healthy way in Toronto. So if you like fish, but don't feel like a sit down restuarant, this place is for you!

Golden Mint

Rated this place:

911 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON, M4W 2H2

Coffee shop: I drink a lot of different kinds of Coffees and Teas, and I gotta say, this place has a huge selection of different coffees and teas from around the world you can't find easily elsewhere. They also take the time to prepare things right, paying attention to details, from their coffees and lattes, to how they prepare your tea and their handmade chocolates and candy apples.

Johny Banana

Rated this place:

181 Bathurst Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5T 2R7

Mexican restaurant: It's a fun looking mexican restuarant, colourful decor/setting, with a cartoonish mexican wrestler on the wall. The food is fun b/c lots of modernized interpretations of mexican dishes by young chefs from mexico I believe and there is a good selection of fun mexican drinks/cocktails. Great fun place to dine with friends or a casual date.

Rated this place:

924 Queen St W, Toronto, ON, M6J1G6

Sunday brunch: Great Brunch...classic Brunch items with a twist...also does lunch and dinner. Decor is chic...great place to take your friends, or a date...b/c it looks nice, not too fancy, so creates a comfortable atmosphere/setting.
