Strategies Games & Hobbies

Rated this place:

3878 Main St., Vancouver, V5V 3N9

Strategies : I love this locally owned store. It has helpful staff and a great selection of board games, but the thing that is truly amazing is that they organize various events that foster community - like open board game Friday nights. Every Friday, you can drop into the store and play any board game there - for free. You can play with your friends or make new friends to play with. The evenings are great as you usually end up meeting new people and it's an opportunity to test out a game that you may have been curious about. Apart from the regular Friday night games, they have special events like the Settlers of Catan tournament and have even hosted a "game challenge" - think American Idol but instead of singing, participants submit their idea for a new board game concept. This store has been a great addition to the Main Street community!
