L3 Fitness

Rated this place:

9 St Joseph, Toronto, ON, M4Y 1J6

Gym: Central location, small but brand new, beautiful, great weights and cardio equipment, immaculate and affordable. Towel service included, saunas, loft in an old building, big windows and lots of natural light, no fluorescents, well stocked with everything you need, friendly, down to earth staff and a reasonable owner/manager who's great with customer service.

R Schad Naturopathic Clinic

Rated this place:

1255 Sheppard Ave E, North York, ON, M2K1E2

Naturopathic: If you're looking for naturopathic care but don't have the money to spend on an ND, check out RSNC. I've gotten great care there from several different interns. The students there are in a four-year, full-time program and they work their butts off studying herbal medicine, nutrition, Asian medicine/acupuncture, homeopathy, and physical medicine. I've gotten help for sports injuries there, but I know others who've been helped for diabetes, weight problems, hormonal problems, digestive issues.

Gesund Massage

Rated this place:

7 Isabella Street, Toronto, ON, M4Y 1M7

Massage and naturopathic medicine: Peter Tebruegge is a naturopathic doctor and massage therapist, what a great combo. He's a relaxed, non-judgmental and very professional and skilled practitioner, and located in a very central clinic - highly recommended if you're in the yonge/bloor area!

Masa Sushi Japanese Restaurant

Rated this place:

15 Charles Street East, Toronto, ON, M4Y1S1

Sushi places: Excellent quality and value, in a real restaurant. Suitable for a date, or a get together with friends. Even when it's busy it feels like you have some privacy due to the low lighting. The servers are wonderful, adorable girls. Prices are very reasonable. Wonderful for winter, but the low light and lack of windows make it less than ideal in summer.

Sushi Eaton

Rated this place:

90 Eglinton Avenue East, Toronto, ON, M4P 2Y3

Sushi places: This is the best sushi in this price range I've had in the city. It's incredibly well priced, consistently VERY fresh, the wasabi is SO fresh, the fish is outstanding. The service is fast but they aren't rushing you out, the place is fairly big and bright, with big windows and a patio, perfect for summer. It isn't a romantic place, and the tables are quite squeezed in, but hell, if it allows them to keep the prices that low and the quality that high, I'm all for it. I hike up to Yonge/Eg for it!
