Fusaro's Kitchen

Rated this place:

147 Spadina Ave #108, Toronto, ON, M5V2L7

Sandwiches: Tre and Sei are faves to fall back on, but the daily paninos often catch my eye too. Line is long, but the staff are highly organized and things move fairly quickly.

Bonjour Brioche Bakery Cafe

Rated this place:

812 Queen St E, Toronto, ON, M4M1H7

Croissant: I've been the lucky recipient of croissants from Bonjour Brioche on two occasions now and think they're out of this world! Moist, yet flaky, butter "with just a sprinkle of flour" as my friend says. Divine!

Best burger: Okay, it's an expensive burger - but worth experiencing once. Unlike any burger you've ever had - perfectly cooked beef with rich toppings. A great fancy but fun date night!

Dufflet Pastries

Rated this place:

787 Queen W, Toronto, ON, M6J1G1

Cake, Vanilla cupcake: Their chocolate and banana layer cake is my fave!

Even though they're not overly moist, the vanilla bean flavour is outstanding. Not too mention that they're large so they last (slightly) longer.

Dish Cooking Studio

Rated this place:

390 Dupont St, Toronto, ON, M5R1V9

Brownie, Cooking classes: The brownies they serve in the Cafe is absolutely, hands-down the best brownie I've ever had. It's a rich, moist brownie that has more of a dark chocolate flavour than milk.

The instructors are great and the setting is intimate. Dish's classes are a great way to spend an evening either alone and meeting new people, or with friends.

Homemade pasta: Carlos has been making amazing fresh pasta and sauces for years. He used to not be able to keep up with the demand for his lasagnas, but has some extra help now so you *might* be able to walk-in and pick one up. Definitely worth ordering ahead - even better than homemade!
