Riverdale Farm

Rated this place:

201 Winchester St., Toronto, ON, M4 X1B8

Farm and petting zoo

Farm and petting zoo: A nice little farm which is open to visitors to walk around and look at the farm animals. The usual suspects can be found: pigs, chickens, horses, cows, goats, sheep and a donkey. It's great for kids and you can also go on a nice nature walk next a bog of all things.

Wind Turbine

Rated this place:

Exhibition Place, Toronto, ON, M6K 3C3

Alternative energy structure

Alternative energy structure: It's a giant 30-storey white wind turbine (property of Toronto Hydro Energy Services & Windshare) right on the lakeshore. Where else would you see that in a major city? It supplies enough energy to support 250 homes for a year. These turbines should be all over Canada.

East Side Mario's

Rated this place:

11 Ray Lawson Bl, Toronto, ON, L6Y3L4

Restaurant near rogers centre: Great for pre/post Rogers Centre events. The food is good and filling. The customer service is always courteous. Most importantly for out-of-towners, it's close to the Rogers Centre.

Christie Pits Park

Rated this place:

Bloor St. W., Toronto, ON, M5H2N2

Baseball park: You can watch the Toronto Maple Leafs baseball team as well as other baseball teams from other levels. It's a great place to just sit on the grass, relax and watch some baseball.

The Beaches

Rated this place:

Toronto, ON

Walking spot: Who doesn't like walking along the boardwalk? The beaches, the parks, the rocks and of course Lake Ontario itself - all makes it a beautiful place. The water is so fresh that you can easily take a gulp or two to rejuvenate your spirit. Okay, not really, but swimming in it won't kill you.

Bloor Cinema

Rated this place:

506 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON, M5S1Y3

Indie cinema: It shows good quality moves, movies that have been in film festivals, classics and also recent box office hits. It's a cozy single screen theatre. The price is great and popcorn doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.

BMV Books

Rated this place:

10 Edward St, Toronto, ON, M5G 1C9

Used bookstore: Great prices on books which are in "new" condition. Bad news for your wallet. Inevitabley, you will find books you couldn't find anywhere else, for that price, in that edition and in that condition and you have a real fear that it won't be there the next time you come back.

Lick's Homeburgers & Ice Cream

Rated this place:

3315 Fairview, Burlington, ON, L7N3N9

Hamburger: When they say it's big and juicy, it really is! It's messy and glorious. Don't forget the coney fries.
