Green Barn Farmers' Market

Rated this place:

601 Christie St (Studio 181), Toronto, ON, M6G4C7

I love the barns!: I love the barns! not only is there a great variety of organic produce, meats, honey, coffee, tea, but there are lots of toilettries vendors and prepared foods! The sweat potato muffins/cup cakes where super yummy and I highly recommend. There are also musicians playing and dancers. Super fun!

Scratch Espresso Bar

Rated this place:

1358 Bathurst Street, Toronto, ON, M5R 3H7

Coffee shop: Think "can't afford Toronto real estate downtown so compromised and bought a few blocks north in midtown". The gestalt is organic, natural and local with warm & welcoming staff, primo Intelligensia coffee, exposed brick walls, large communal table, cozy sofa and chairs you melt into (coziness is guaranteed, they are nap tested), lots of good art on the walls and free WiFi. The Chai Latte is transcendent and the biscotti are so good you'll want to throw them a party. Scratch is the local hangout

my favourites are also banana chocloate chip muffins and pumpkin muffins, but all the food is made from scratch by local artisinal bakers so i'm sure that whatever you have will be good. the staff are good company and give the place a good vibe. it feels like a bit like Cheers meets The Central Perk. the owners are warm, genuine people. me likey!
