There's a lot of mediocre pumpkin pie out there, and flacid crust plus tasteless squash mush just won't do for Thanksgiving. For a gem of a homemade store-bought treat, head to Sweet Tooth, where judiciously spiced pumpkin custard inside a perfect pastry shell can be yours. Anytime. Just add whipped cream.
