Both the atmosphere - which is rocking (literally) and the food, which is awesome.

Well, not really much to say here - it was just awesome. The included garlic potatoes are really good too.

It was really good - the variety here has Chorizo in it, but there were a lot of other options.

Breakfast

Rated this place:

L'avenue

Easily the best breakfast in the city, maybe the best breakfast anywhere. Come early or you'll wait in line, and for good reason. Bonus: the coolest bathrooms in town.

Breakfast

Rated this place:

The best eggs benedict ever. Hands down. Perfect hollandaise sauce. Watch out for the crazy line-up on weekends after 11 though!!!

Bacon and egg meal

Rated this place:

L’Avenue on Mt. Royal is by far the best place to head for breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday morning. The eggs are perfectly cooked, the bread is fluffy and filling, the bacon is crisp but not burnt and the potatoes – oh so delicious. A definite must when visiting Montreal.

Breakfast spot

Rated this place:

Pros: HUGE PORTIONS WILL LEAVE YOU SATISFIED!!! Pages of egg dishes! Fab European coffee! Best potatoes in the city! Cons: No English menus, LINEUPS bigger than the portions!

Home fries, Music while i eat, Omelette

Rated this place:

They are garlicky, flavourful, filling, and the smell of them roasting on the stove consumes the entire restaurant!

Even though I've only had the chance to eat at L'avenue for breakfast, I've always been pleasantly serenaded while I eat with some funky tunes...it may be early in the morning/afternoon but how could I not enjoy the music while I stuff myself with a succulent breakfast.

It is the thickest omelette this side of France! They have so many options to choose from, and something about the French menus and the crispy baguettes make this whole omelette ensemble my absolute fave.
