Date night Wednesdays?

I was at the Village Idiot Pub on a Wednesday night recently and had a strange realization: 80% of the people around me were A) in their late 20s/early 30s and B) on dates. It was almost freakish. Given its proximity to the OCAD and U of T campuses, the quality of the food and the premium (just above average) beer prices must be what keep VIP from becoming a strictly university hangout; they've got good service too. (Aside: Their t-shirt merch reads 'VIP', which is pretty awesome.)

I love this place! They have tons of beer on tap and the staff is always so friendly. Best atmosphere when you want a relaxed night of drinking with your friends. Typical pub environment. The food is also really good and surprisingly cheap!

Baldwin village pub

In the summer this place is especially great if you can score a window seat. It's just a run-of-the-mill pub but I have good memories there and like I said those window seats are key in the summer because it's like being on patio only with more artsy and creative eye candy.
