thank you for the great review from Thaipografik. Personaly, I never pay attention to this kind of review, no matter it is good or bad. I cannot please everyone in the city. However, I hate people make up stories to get attention from other people. From last August on, I only have 3 male staff in the whole restaurant, How come 4-5 Asian guys came out from the kitchen to starring at you(I wish I could hire so many kitchen staff). Or you were in the wrong restaurant? Since I am always stay in the premise, we do not have any complain about cockroach in the past year. The last complain was from 2 guy, they filed the complain after they finished the rice(have a question? what kind of rice you had on such unfortunately day?). I personally handled the case and took out the rice from the check. The reason I didn't comp the whole check was because under a normal situation, you would not file a complain after you finish the dish if you find a cockroach or even just a ladybud in you dish. I accept any constructive comment from anybody, but please no nonsense comment.

I asked the waitress what was sitting in my rice, before I realized it was a dead, cooked cockroach. I understand that these things happen... We live in the city after all. What bothered me was the way they handled it. The waitress snatched the bug from the plate, effectively putting her hands into my food before running off. We didn't want to pay for our meal after that, but they brought out the entire kitchen staff (5-6 asian men) who were staring at us menacingly from across the dining room. We could tell that they weren't going to let us leave without paying. No apologies for the bug, just a big fat bill, and a table full of bouncers, waiting to collect their payment. Never again.

Cha Liu Dim Sum Shop is a great choice if you are craving dim sum but don’t want to make the trip all the way to Chinatown or Pacific Mall. One block north of Yonge & Eglington, it's located on the second floor of its building, Cha Liu has a quiet and private atmosphere where you can enjoy all your favourite dishes including Har Gow and Siu Mai. They have a full selection of steamed and pan seared /fried dim sum choices, so you're sure to find the traditional dishes you love and possibly some new ones. It’s reasonably priced and just as authentic as going to China Town! Dim Sum dishes start at $2.50.

The best dim sum taste ever. The price is very expensive though. However, it is a very comfy place if you want to relax and enjoy the chinese traditional environment.

It's not a typical dim sum shop---it's a bit more upscale, but the most important thing is that the food is ridiculously good! psst.....get the deep fried stuffed chicken wing. hmmmm...

Great Dim Sum place midtown. The atmosphere is nice, the service is friendly and quick and the dim sum is great. Try the shrimp & mango rolls

This place has nice tranditional Chinese atmosphere. Lovely wooden furniture. Interesting painting on the ceiling. Great place for afternoon get-together. You gotta try their delicious Chang Fun and Pan seared black pepper beef dumpling.
