Don Valley Park

Rated this place:

Toronto, M4G3A1

Greenspace, Kids toboggan hill: There is nothing better than dropping down into the valley and exploring. You can be 100 feet from the parkway and feel like you are lost in the woods. The valley is full of wonderful wildlife and magical flora, and it is right in my backyard.

Some great downhills into the ravine that never fail to both thrill and scare the heck out of my boyz.

Dufferin Grove Park

Rated this place:

875 Dufferin St., Toronto, ON, M5H2N2

Place to grocery shop: Local and organic in abundance. Markets like this and the Brickworks evoke the feeling of community and earnestness that you won’t find in any grocery store.

Regent Theatre

Rated this place:

551 Mount Pleasant Rd, Toronto, ON, M4S2M5

Movie theatre: It's tie between this, Mt. Pleasant Theatre and Bloor Cinema. I can’t get enough of the old-school movie theaters! I love the scale of the theatres, the seats, the admission booths, and the simplicity. A welcome break from the Disney-esque theatres of today.

Centre for Social Innovation

Rated this place:

215 Spadina Avenue, Ste. 120, Toronto, M5T 2C7

Office building: I love the finishes and fixtures in the building – green roof, living wall, original wood beams and hardwood – and the number of amazing businesses and non-profits in this building blows my mind!

Don Mills

Rated this place:

62 Overlea Boulevard, Toronto, M4H 1C4

Undiscovered neighbourhood: An impressive concentration of mid-century modern homes surrounded by the Don Valley watershed. Walkable and bikeable neighbourhood with tons of greenspace and close to major bus routes.

Fressen Restaurant

Rated this place:

478 Queen St W, Toronto, ON, M5V2B2

Special meal (outside home): I love going to a restaurant where I can choose from everything on the menu. Creatively plated, interesting combinations, organic and all vegan – dinner out doesn’t get much better!
