Cinema: It's close by and it's not a giant, studio propoganda spewing, commercial behemmoth. Regular sized theatres and not too conspicuous. Plus it shows a nice mix of indie vs. blockbuster picks.

Late night food: It's the only place that serves "real" food after hours... not just unhealthy and deep-fried junk. You can actually get a real meal at 4am.
