Deer Garden

Rated this place:

1162 St Laurent, Montreal, QC, H2X 2S5

Asian food: THis place is heavenly. Incredibly cheap, deliscious and fast fusion/asian. And it's BYOW. Can you beat that? I heavily recommend Pad Thai, crispy thai chicken and orange beef.

Bofinger

Rated this place:

5667 Sherbrooke West, Montreal, QC, H4A1W6

Sandwhich: I wouldn't call this my favourite, however if you want some variety in your sandwhich experience, try this southern ranch-style sandwhich. The pulled-pork sandwhich was quite tasty with a tangy sauce and came with a side of mac and cheese.

Vol De Nuit

Rated this place:

14 Prince Arthur East, Montreal, H2X 1B1

Bloody caesar: They just make a meaaaaan bloody caesar. Go for 5-7 to get 2 for 7$. I can't really recommend it enough if you dig this drink.

Espace Haircraft

Rated this place:

273 rue Milton, Montreal, QC, H2X 1V7

Hair salon: A perfectly adequate haircut for guys. In the heart of downtown. Close, convenient... 30$ + tip.

Rockaberry

Rated this place:

4275 St. Denis Street, Montreal, QC, H2J 2K9

Pie and ice cream: One of the best apple crumble a la mode i've ever had. Great place to go for a late night dessert. Try not to sit upstairts as it is very dimly lit and I had limited service here last time. They also have a great milkshake and a decent club sandwhich.

Beatnick Disques

Rated this place:

3770 rue Saint-Denis, Montreal, H2W2M1

Record store: Not a huge record collector myself, but a few friends are and swear by this place. When i checked it out i noticed a huge collection of old soul, jazz and 50s-60s rock. Definitely worth checking out.

Rated this place:

4051 Rue Saint Denis, Montreal, QC, H2W 2M7

McGill Pizza

Rated this place:

625 Rue Milton, Montreal, QC, H2X 1A1

Pizza: A deep dish pizza. Very tasty and satisfying. Get the two slice deal for 4.50 - make sure you get it to go as it's not the greatest place in the world to sit down and eat.

Chez José

Rated this place:

173 Duluth East, Montreal, QC, H2W1H4

Omellette, Sandwhich: Cosy little place with unbelievably tasty omellettes with a portuguese twist. Also great is the sandwhiches (also with a portuguese twist) + a smoothie for 7$!

Despite being mainly an omellette breakfast place, chez jose serves up some great sandwhiches, which you can get with one of their famous smoothies for 7$.

Bily Kun

Rated this place:

354 Mont-Royal est, Montreal, QC, H2T 1P9

Bar

Bar: I just like the vibe of this place. Classy, but not arrogant. Good drink selection. A great way to escape the sherbrook-des pins strip on st. laurent without leaving st. laurent.

Le Divan Orange

Rated this place:

4234 Saint-Laurent Boul, Montreal, QC, H2W 1Z3

Live music venue: An intimate venue that is shaped well to bring the crowd forward to the stage, unlike many other venues in montreal. Great bar too. I have heard that they serve some great food, but i have never had the pleasure...

Soupesoup

Rated this place:

80 avenue Duluth Est, Montreal, QC, H2W 1G8

Soup: This place has different soups and sandwhiches each day, and a great half sandwhich/soup deal for 7$. Sometimes the soups are better than other times obviously, so go in with an open mind and make sure to go multiple times to try all kinds of great soups. Some favourites were the mango/cucumber soup and the lentil soup.

Patati Patata

Rated this place:

4177 Boul St-Laurent, Montreal, ON, H2W 1Y7

Hamburger: I was converted to liking this place after my last visit. Tiny place that serves up a great plate of salad, fries and burger. I advise getting 2 patties or two burgers as the burgers are tiny (yet very tasty). Make sure to ask for half salad half fries.

St-Laurent Bifteck Bar

Rated this place:

3702 St Laurent , Montreal, QC, H2X 2V4

Foosball: The foosball table at bifteck (75 cents a game) is seared into my brain after many classic matches. Fierce competition, crappy boreale beer and free popcorn.

  • favourite thing(s) at this place:
  • foosball

14 Prince Arthur

Rated this place:

14 Prince Arthur Street West, Montreal, QC, H2X 1S3

Crispy chicken, Pho: I was mainly a fan of the soup here before, but a recent visit introduced me to the crispy chicken dish which was also fantastic, especially when dipped in some complementary hot sauce. Might want to get to go, or be prepared to wait a significant amount of time for food if the place is busy.

Big hot bowl of deliscious vietnemese chicken soup for a few dollars. Pour some complementary hoisin and hot sauce in for an extra kick.

Pizza Du Parc

Rated this place:

4827 avenue du parc, Montreal, QC, H2V 4E7
