Bloor West Village

Rated this place:

Toronto, ON

Best Neighbourhood: People are friendly, shops are great (you can do all of your groceries along the strip and window shop while you do it). Queen's Past Cafe has a great shop for Italian staples, Yellow Griffin's burgers constantly impress friends from out of the area and never a lack of watering holes after a long day at work!

Lily of the valley

Rated this place:

496 College Street, Toronto, M6G 1A4

Stylist: Lily is amazing! Hard to get an appoinment with, but worth the wait. Does wonders with curls, and has fixed botched cuts when I thought there was no hope!

Viva Tastings

Rated this place:

92 Front St E (St. Lawrence North Farmer's Market - Saturday mornings ONLY), Toronto, ON, M5E 1C4

Gourmet lunch: Loved this place for paninis and salads, and to pick up dinner on the way home. Seems to have closed in the last few months, if anyone knows where she has gone please let me know... I miss my candied beet salad!

Yellow Griffin Pub

Rated this place:

2202 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON, M6S1N4

Gourmet burger: 35 options, homemade burgers. They take 20 minutes to cook, and unless your appetite is huge try to refrain from ordering an appetizer, these burgers are not small portions and you will want to eat the whole thing(made that mistake once). I have friends that travel across the city for these guys

Shoes and accessories: Great little store for bags, jewellery and shoes. Clothes are great too. Just opened a location in Bloor West Village (Bloor and Durie) too.

Manic Coffee

Rated this place:

426 College St, Toronto, Ontario, M5T 1T3

Coffee: Service is always fantastic, the daily drip is always fresh when you are in a hurry, but the clover takes the cake. Great croissants, tea biscuits and muffins to finish off the experience.

Tacos El Asador

Rated this place:

690 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON, M6G1L2

Mexican food: Best mexican in the city! Found this place accidentally and have brought everyone I know their. The chorizo burrito is my guilty pleasure. The prices are amazing for the quality and authenticity of the food, and service is always fantastic.

High Park

Rated this place:

1873 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON, M5H 2N2

Park: Love Dream in High Park every summer, and the off leash area is a staple for those with a four legged friend. Have many friends and family from out of town and it is always a request to spend at least one day of their trip to Toronto at High Park
