Humber College - Lake Shore Campus

Rated this place:

3199 Lake Shore Blvd. W., Toronto, ON, M8V1K8

Campus

Campus: It used to be an insane asylum! But besides that, it's really nice. So nice that low budget movies like Police Academy shoot there! It's close to the lake and has great paths to bike & walk. It was a really nice place in the summer. Once you leave the campus it's kinda sketch though.

Global Optical Boutique

Rated this place:

50 King St E., Toronto, ON, M5C 2B6

Place to buy glasses: The staff there was suuuuper helpful. I came un unsure of what I wanted, and the guy helped me try on pretty much every frame in the place. He gave me good advice on what styles would suit me, and didn't even pressure me to buy anything! I came back the next day with a friend and ended up getting the frames he suggested. I even got a discount! It may not be the super trendiest place, but it's definately a step up from the discount places like Hakim.
