Community Roots: This bookstore/ artspace is pretty great. They have a really interesting selection on just about any subject, also a huge movie collection (dvd's) some VHS. A large selection of marxist books can be found here! I really like the cookbook section and artbooks. The kids book selection is pretty interesting and ranges from new to older oop books from the 70's-80's. Ph#416-251-5576 closed mondays.

Sweet olenka's: Sweet Olenka's has the creamiest most delicious ice cream! They make new flavours all the time, Mango, Lychee, guiness.. Lemon sour cream just to name a few! there have to be at least 15 or so different flavours at any given time. They are open pretty late til' 9pm ! They also have many many chocolates, truffles, brittle and gorgeous handemade cakes. It is worth the trip!
