Fieramosca Trattoria

Rated this place:

36A Prince Arthur Ave, Toronto, ON, M5R1A9

Girlfriends-only dinner spot

Girlfriends-only dinner spot: I love it when I walk into a restaurant and the staff knows my name. Hidden away on Prince Arthur Ave. in an old house, Fieramosca makes me happy. A great combo of upscale and laid back , when I want to spend hours with another exhausted mummy who needs a break, this is where we go.

The Yorkville Club

Rated this place:

87 Avenue Road, Ground Floor, Toronto, ON, M5R3R9

Sexy workout joint

Sexy workout joint: The Yorkville Club Uptown (on Eglinton, where the York Theatre used to be) is the Sexiest Workout Joint. They have amazing new workout machines, great yoga classes, and a spa in the bottom floor. They even have kiddie care which has a camera so you can watch your tots on tv while you work out. Perfect for some mummy time.

Jawny Baker's

Rated this place:

804 O'Connor Dr, East York, ON, M4B2S9

Family restaurant: Jawny Bakers has a feeling of being an old-fashioned family restaurant. What impresses me the most is the service. They are attentive, fast and are very, very helpful when it comes to my daughter's food allergies. The kids' menu is excellent. Finally, a restaurant that serves what seems to be smaller portions of yummy adult food, rather than the crappy kiddy fried foods. Best of all, they give out treats from a treasure box so I can bribe my kids to finish their meals.

Il Mulino

Rated this place:

1060 EGLINTON AVE W, Toronto, ON, M6C2C9

Sexy yummy restauraunt: Mummies need a sexy night out with their partners. B.C. (before children),I used to go to Barolo on Carlton in the 80's. The owners closed down Barolo and headed north to Eglinton to open up a stylish and delicious new spot called Il Mulino. The food is spectacular, the wines are amazing, and the servers are very knowledgable about the menu and the wines. The owners are always there, ready to make you something special not on the menu.

Rated this place:

616 Mount Pleasant Rd, Toronto, ON, M4S2M8

Kids clothing

Kids clothing: Tired of dressing your kids the same as everyone else? Bean Sprout owner Trish Haddad has a great eye for collecting unique clothing and accessories for kids. Warning...you might spend way too much money on a darling outfit your little one will outgrow in four months.
