Amazing value

Rated this place:

When you walk into a restaurant that promises all you can eat sushi for less than $20 dollars, the last thing you expect is quality food served to you in a timely manner. Aji Said blows those notions right out of the water, delivering amazing sushi to your table for as long as you can stomach it.Upon entering, you sense a serene vibe in the restaurant, which is often loaded with a mix of patrons ranging from hipsters to school teachers, all brought together by their love of sushi. If it's your first time here, you should pick your favorites and one new dish you want to try. I suggest ordering about 3-5 dishes at once because the food takes a while to arrive, especially when it's busy. When you get the food, dive in and try everything, and remember to order more food as soon as you're plate starts becoming vacant. Some locations will charge you extra if you leave food on the plate that you can't finish, so be sure to order an adequate amount.Overall this place is fantastic, traditional sushi for a discount price, recommended for a light lunch or a daytime date.

Disappointed

Rated this place:

I went eat there today with my partner. When we were eating, my partner found hair in his meal. I saw kitchen staffs are not wearing hair net through the curtains. We will NEVER come back there. What a fuckin' restaurant.

What a treat - all you can eat!

Rated this place:

So, imagine you're out for lunch with friends, you're starving, and you grab a booth at a cute Japanese restaurant on Queen West and start pulling together an itinerary for your lunch order - when - suddenly - you all notice that the meal is actually all-you-can-eat! Such excitement and possibilities....I addded some meat (literally) to my ordinary sushi order and ended up with 4 chicken yakitori skewers, 12 pieces of sushi, spring rolls, and a salad for under $13 - and on Mon-Thurs the lunch is only $10.99. This place is one of the best all-you-can-eat spots I've tried. It's fast, serves pretty hearty portions (but still smaller than an ordinary place), and the food was excellent. No wonder we had to wait at least 10 minutes for a table!

Deep fried banana w/ice cream

Rated this place:

Location on Bayview: Large Menu, Consistent and always fresh. Excellent rolls, I recommend crispy spicy salmon (my fav) and spider rolls. I always like to try new places, but this is the place I always compare the food to. One downside service isn't always great. Also, I have yet to find another sushi place that serves deep fried bananas.....any suggestions?

All you can eat japanese

Rated this place:

Another all you can eat Japanese. You can never have enough of these. The restaurant is very nice on the inside, what looks to be bamboo floors and benches. As for the food, there is nothing that really stands out, but they do have a wide variety of sushi's/maki/rolls etc. The food is pretty standard in terms of what is offered and the taste is on par with other Japanese restaurants. The time from food ordering until food delivery is pretty fast. I would personally still prefer Sushi Island.
