Provides some of the highest quality t shirts I have ever worn! I have band t-shirts that have lasted more than 8 years and still feel soft, supple and comfier than ever before. They have a plethora of other clothing items besides t-shirts like hoodies and tights, but this ground breaking socially conscious store was first known for their t-shirts :D

If you're looking for cool and comfy clothes to lounge in then American Apparel is a good choice. Logo-free and basic tees come in a variety of different colours for men and women and there's also a good selection of hoodies, tights, yoga pants and tanks. I also love their underwear and bra tops because they fit and wash really well. The store also sells bathing suits, accessories, fashionable tops and dresses -- the look is very retro and 80s, however I question some of the pieces (bodysuits and fluorescent leggings) that remind me of Jane Fonda workout videos!

Wearable Dresses

With its 80s vibe and love for anything spandex, its sometimes hard to believe that you might find something totally wearable at American Apparel. This store is great for its basics and its selection of t-shirts, leggings, and hoodies. I prefer it for its dresses and long tees for women. Pick up a comfortable mini dress like their fine jersey T-dresses or pocket frocks. They have the type of dresses that don't need to be worn with anything else - just your shoes, an accessory or two, and your bag, and you are good to go. All their pieces come in basic colours and brighth colours, so you are bound to find one that fits your personality.
