Coffee shop

Rated this place:

It has amazing coffee. It's pretty simple really. It's the type of place you go out of your way for. It's just that good. Also, it just happens to have one of the nicest interiors of any shop in town.

Cafe

Rated this place:

I love the Distillery District in the summer. But when the weather cools down, Balzac's is a great place to stop for a warm beverage to keep you warm as you stroll through the cobblestone streets. I like the cozy inside too. If there weren't so many other great things to do in that area, it would be a great place to read a really old book.

Coffee shop ambience

Rated this place:

The chandelier, old brick, and open concept/high ceiling building make this coffee shop a great place to buy a "for here" coffee.

Terrible coffee

Rated this place:

If you like the smell of burnt coffee, mediocre taste & terrible service from idiots w/attitude, then balzac's is the place for you

Coffee

Rated this place:

I like to write and drink coffee in the upper loft area in the Distillery District location. I’ve finished two novels there.

In the distillery. Their cappucino is amazing and I love the chocolate stir sticks!

I love this experience, the coffee here always seems to taste a little better. My secret hideaway ;)

Cafe

Rated this place:

Because there's nothing like enjoying a premium cup of coffee/tea/latte in the Historic Distillery District. Don't let the closed dark painted metal door fool you - the coffee shop is open!! The organic coffee is great here, and is a great drink to sip on while you explore the different shops in the distillery district!!

Coffee shop, Espresso

Rated this place:

The beans are roasted until they are nearly burnt - yummmm! On the days where they do their roasting, you can smell it as far away as Front & Parliament! The location is amazing - best place for a coffee date, whether it's with a friend or a lover. Also, it reminds me of Stratford (where the original Balzac's is).

It's all in the roasting of the beans.
