Chippy's serves pretty good fish and 'fresh cut' chips. Halibut, haddock, cod or salmon in a Guinness batter, plus breaded scallops and prawns, housemade tarter, garlic and pepper mayo sauces and other sides. I've had both the cod and salmon, each time with a tasty curry gravy, and was satisfied. They definitely know how to do up fish and chips. But, really, it's nothing to write home about. ...Oh, btw, Chippy's caters.

I think I'm drawn to place for its marketing. The name is cute and they sell the original glass bottled Cokes. And maybe also their tartar sauce.

They are crispy and salty and come in a box! I can't wait for spring to come so I can spend a lazy Sunday afternoon at Trinity Bellwood's with a box of fries and a good book.

I love the light crispy batter - halibut is my favourite fish. I like that all their stuff is crispy but not to greasy too!

I think the taste is from the beer battering, so delicious and light in terms of batter. The chips ain't bad, but I love the extras like mushy peas, homemade coleslaw and aioli. Cute place and cute boxes.
