COBS Bread

Whenever I visit Cob's Bakery, I always leave in a good mood. The staff here are really friendly and seem to genuinely take pride in their products, making suggestions and offering samples all the time. And the baked goods are so tasty! The plain croissants, my favourite, are soft and buttery, and even a simple multigrain bun is surprisingly good -- I ate it with no butter or filling, and savoured every bite. I hope they open more locations, as there are only two in Toronto so far!

Croissants, Fresh dinner rolls

Rated this place:

The chocolate ones are especially delicious.

The sundried tomato rolls are great with pasta - especially if you warm them in the oven first!

Soft sandwich bread

Rated this place:

COBS Bread

It tastes great and stays creepily fresh for days despite having almost no unnatural ingredients (aside from Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate). Bread is baked fresh daily and nutritional information is available on the company website. The cape seed loaf is my favourite soft bread, but other whole grain or seeded varieties also make great lunch bag sandwiches. Escape grocery store tyranny and put down that generic, gummy, preservative-laden packaged bread. Your tastebuds will thank you.
