Rated this place:
H&M has, in the years since it finally came to Canada from Europe, become my favourite place to shop for wardrobe staples. Yes, sometimes the offerings are generic, and sometimes it's frustrating to buy a cool top and realise that 100,000 other people in the city also have it because H&M is so ubiquitous. But for awesome basics (black pencil skirts, solid colour t-shirts, office shirts in simple colours and patterns, inexpensive jeans, great tights and crazy-cheap bras and panties) it can't be beat. If you're on a budget and you need to update your wardrobe, or you've landed a new job and suddenly realise your old jeans and rock shirts won't make the grade, there's no better place than this. I recently bought a complete outfit (including purse, earrings, necklace, shirt and skirt) for under $60. It's absolutely unbeatable.
